Watching football in Holland

Netherlands: a fan's guide for 2009-10

A-Z of Eredivisie clubs

Pack your bags - here's our A to Z at a glance for the Eredivisie for the 2009-10 season.

Included is a basic idea of how to get there by rail or by plane - as well as a list of other clubs not a million miles away. And as Holland's not the biggest country on earth, that's usually quite a few.

Plus there's a link to the official website - taking you to an English section where there is one - and reviews, either on this site (marked Eurofootballcities review) or on others.

Eredivise website: It's in English too  with results, fix and tables: www.eredivisielive

There's a travel section coming soon - but until then your best bet for trains, again in english and with the chance to book online (including London Specials direct from St Pancras) is www.bahn.de

The weekend is then completed with a couple of games on Sunday afternoon, usually at 2.30pm although there can be a later offering at 4.30pm.
